One of these ratings does not belong

I have seen many players with a correspondence rating that is hundreds of points higher than their classical and other ratings.

So you are a 1300 player in Classical, 1200 in blitz, yet1900 in Correspondence? That's not suspicious at all!

I guess with more time to think, they become a different player.
Some guys are fast with the mouse or hand, others can play chess. If you can both, you are a master ;-)
I have a classical rating of 1529 and a blitz rating of 1404; my correspondence rating is 1721 and was 1968 at the beginning of the year (An offline issue forced to me to abandon/timeout a very large number of games; I've just recently returned to correspondence games.) When I play correspondence games, I play much, much better because I can spend an effectively unlimited time on analysis, but I also think my rating is so high because many correspondence players give the same amount of thought to a position in correspondence as that they give to one in 5+0.
It isn't suspicious, actually. Way more people abandon games midway in correspondence, for instance. I know that's one way my correspondence rating has skyrocketed. Also, I play lots of people that are still just hanging pieces.
It's reasonable for players to play much stronger at correspondence since there's ample time to think about moves.

Yes, it's possible to be suspicious of correspondence players receiving assistance, but it's much harder to prove. That said, I don't suspect any current lichess correspondence players and were there a problem I assume it would be swiftly dealt with.
With correspondence games, you are agreeing to lengthy times allowing further analysis by your opponents. It is not unreasonable at all for someone rated 1400 in 3 minute games to be 2000+ in correspondence. It just means this player is sitting back and delving into the subtle variations 10-12 moves deep.

But as you mention of ratings not belonging, (and as many people know my hatred of cheaters) I generally do not accept games with players that have brand new accounts or a rating difference of more than 150 points between bullet and blitz ratings. It is a telltale sign.
I used to think that it is normally allowed to use computer assistance in correspondence games. Is the situation different here on lichess?
lol #7 I have an almost 500 point difference between blitz and bullet, and if you think I use a computer, you should look closely at some of my games. I think you would change your mind ;)

Okay, you're not a cheater, Dunno.

You are just one of many people who use this site.
