I am unable to login via website on my laptop. My password is not working.
I am currently logged in on both the android app and website on my phone and both function fine.
My account is an older account (created in 2015) and I think at this time emails might not have been mandatory so I can't use password reset.
I saw the blog post from earlier this month saying certain account pw had been expired for security reasons. I'm assuming this is what happened to mine
I have tried the following
Using the cached password from Firefox. This is also the password I remember using. This does not work
Changing/adding an email via lichess.org/account/email however this doesn't work because it requires the current password
Changing the password via lichess.org/account/password however this doesnt work because it requires the current password
Adding 2FA however this doesn't work because it requires the current password
Created a personal access token and used the API/account/email endpoint to see if perhaps I used a different email. It returns nothing. I can get game stats and other info successfully
Can someone please help me either add an email or with a password reset?
