Hey, I recently became a member of "lichess" after having read some articles on Facebook describing this place as a communism-oriented hate speech group ... so anyways, I got curious, immediately joined the 'Community' (this part sounds soooooo weird, like a cult would address its congregation :/ anyways ....) I played some games of Chess, made myself acquainted to the rules of the game you all seem to love so much (for whatever reason, haven't really grasped this aspect of 'lichess' yet ...) and ... had my dear ARSE whooped in every single of them! I mean, come on! This is totally mean and uncalled for, especially towards the newer players, and I can absolutely imagine that after having had experienced the same amount of humiliation and disgrace I have in the last few hours, a more sensitive individual than myself might abandon the pursuit of Chess altogether, all his hopes and puerile dreams to become the next Billy Fisher shattered on the hard ground of reality, all because a tight-knit circle of 'Elite' players hogs all the points to themselves! This is indubitably unjust and discouraging, and I may find myself raising my concerns about this 'lichess' place also on other sites of the Intertubes. Goodday.
Oi your sarcasm made me choke on my tomato. XD
LOL!
(seriously, I love my salads). :P
+1 for OP!
When I first joined Lichess, I didn't really know how chess works beyond the piece movements (not even all the moves, like en passent!) and kept losing. That was frustrating quick.

Billy Fisher? please tell me this person is kidding.
#1 In case you're actually serious...
Lichess uses Glicko-2, the same rating formula used by pretty much every online gaming site, ever:
http://en.lichess.org/qa/6/how-does-the-rating-system-work-on-here
As such, it's not possible that players "hog" points since the total number of points across the site varies based on players' performance.

#8 it's rise, the most nappy-go lucky person there is :D so not serious. It's referring to this: www.facebook.com/pages/Lichessorg-do-NOT-support-it/1047529521927860 -- to which Poe's Law applies heavily.
awesome strategy
laughed so hard :D :D :D
