I suggest a new feature: Tactics competition

@PaTrIpErO Please don't make puzzles only +1/-1. I am a very poor player!!! I like to play the puzzles when I watch TV so I don't spend a lot of time on each one nor a lot of effort.

Anyway, I have a suggestion. There are a plethora of pgn games out there. It's really interesting (for me) to go to "Tools" -> "Import Game" and paste something like:

[Event "Hoogovens"]
[Site "?"]
[Date "1999.01.20"]
[Round "?"]
[White "Kasparov, Garry"]
[Black "Topalov, Veselin"]
[ECO "B07"]
[WhiteElo "2812"]
[BlackElo "2700"]
[Result "1-0"]

Click the "Menu" below the Moves on the right and then click "Fast."

It's most likely that all the famous pgn games out there would be a sizable amount of data. Boris Spassky is my favorite player and when you download his pgn file for all games recorded in it, it is 1.4 MB extracted.

But if the size of the data of all the famous pgn files isn't a considerable issue, they could be systematically stored in a database because the format is somewhat consistent.

The inconsistencies between different pgns are only relevant in the header. The names may be stored differently (i.e [White "Spassky B V"] vs [White "Boris Spassky"]). If it's possible to find someone that has created all games with a really consistent format (including accurate dates) then it would be fairly easy to parse them into a format and load them in a database.

On the site, the headers of those games could be loaded in a grid view that you could filter and/or search on. You could click Play or Open and lo and behold - you can watch any famous game instantly.

It's just an idea. Lichess is certainly one of the greatest sites I've ever seen and most DEFINITELY the greatest chess site ever! I just learned about it a few months ago when I picked up chess again.

Cheers!
